MO Ozone Bomber
*Takes a deep breath* I love this jacket so much, I don't even know where to begin. In addition to the Members Only varsity jacket I wrote about previously, I was able to style the ozone bomber as well. I was suuuuupppppper excited to put this look together.

Since I'm obsessed with the color burgundy I knew the jacket would work well with a lot of other items I already have in my wardrobe including black, grey, pink, tan and of course various shades of burgundy. If burgundy's not your color, go check out the Members Only website because this jacket also comes in black, charcoal and navy. There's something for everyone!
Some details that attracted me to this piece were the textured quilting design that ran throughout the body of the jacket. I also love the ribbed cuff on the sleeves and collar. There's even a cute little pocket in the front with the logo. It was just enough touch of simplicity and uniqueness that made it stand out from all of the other jackets I already have.
I wanted the jacket to stand out but also blend well with the other pieces I paired it with. I wanted it to seem like everything was meant to be together. I paired the jacket with the black Women Rayon Stand Collar 3/4 Sleeve Blouse from Uniqlo. I've always heard great things about Uniqlo but it was mainly in reference to the outerwear or denim section. I went to the Uniqlo store on 5th ave an hour before closing and it was the perfect time to avoid too many humans bumping into me. When you walk into Uniqlo it's a little overwhelming. The lights are beaming and you could easily spend hours aimlessly looking through clothes you know you won't buy. Each section is so beautiful and organized it's hard not to look at everything. I didn't have time for the shenanigans this particular day plus I was on a time constraint because the store was closing soon. I used to work in retail so I already know an hour before closing means everyone working is already half way through their closing checklist lol! I knew I needed a black shirt that was casual that could be dressed up when necessary. I also wanted it to have an equal hint of femininity and masculinity. I quickly scanned the men's section but nothing caught my eye and then I went to the women's section and stumbled upon this shirt. This shirt is currently out of stock which is beyond annoying because they had so many great colors and I would have enjoyed having multiple color options. You snooze you lose. I'm glad I was at least able to find this piece. The material is breathable, it hardly wrinkles and it doesn't accentuate any curves. Sometimes I like it tucked in and sometimes I leave it untucked so I gave ya'll a little variety in the photos below lol.
I love Topman with a passion. If you're unfamiliar, it's the men's section of TopShop. I originally went in the store looking for a specific jogger type dress pant I found online but I instantly fell in love with these Gray Rose Print Ultra Skinny Pants as soon as I saw them. My mouth dropped and I went back and forth in my head about whether or not I should get them because they were a little spendy. When I really like an item I always hold on to it while I'm in the store and low key talk to myself to try and find reasons why I shouldn't buy it. If I can't think of any cons or my hand just can't let go for fear of separation anxiety, I just have to get it! They're expensive because they're technically suit pants. That's right, there's a blazer that matches too *screams*. Spending a lot of money on one item is definitely NOT the norm for me but I had to have these pants so I decided to treat myself. There's nothing wrong with splurging every now and again. You need to make sure you splurge on an item you love and that you know you can wear for awhile. It's important that the item you're getting is worth your investment! When I read that the tag said "ultra skinny" I thought I got my hopes up because I didn't even try them on yet. To my surprise they were a perfect fit and I couldn't wait to pair them with my ozone bomber.
I knew the floral print would easily compliment the ozone bomber jacket because the grey, pink and white accents throughout the pants compliment the color burgundy. There are so many unique fabric designs for pants at Topman right now. I will certainly have to buy more pants from Topman in the future especially now that I know which size to buy. In the past I would only buy shirts from Topman so I'm happy to know I can start buying pants from there on special occasions. Be sure to check out what they have available on their website here.
Topman is located in one of the biggest fashion areas in New York. It's right in the heart of Soho. I used to work at Blick on Bond St. which is about a 10 min walk from Topman. I would frequently visit the store on my lunch break to keep up with the styles they had. The escalators are perfectly placed when you're coming down from Topshop to Topman. It allows you to get a quick overview of all the fly pieces they have. I feel like I'm walking into my dream closet. This is one of the few stores that don't make me anxious no matter how busy it is because I'm stuck oohing and ahhing at all of the fabulous selections. In that moment I don't have time to concentrate on the crowds of people lol.
My shades are from Amazon believe it or not. Ya'll can't sleep on Amazon. I got my gold frames from there as well. If you're searching for something on Amazon you have to be specific in your search and most of the time Amazon has it. I can't wait to share another cool item I found on Amazon in a new blog post coming soon.
I really like chelsea boots especially when I'm wearing dress pants but I thought that would be too typical for this outfit. I wanted to do something out of the box. Last summer I started rocking socks with my Teva sandals that I got from Zappos. They were only $60. I happened to find them cheaper on Wildfang for $54 just in case you want to save an extra $6.00! You're welcome!
I know the sock and sandals combination is hated by a large majority of the world but I like it! If you read my previous blog post you'll also learn how much I love a platform shoe. I didn't want regular flat Teva's because I thought they were super basic so I decided to get a platform version to give me the height that I need. I wore burgundy socks to compliment the overall color palate of the outfit. If there's a clothing item, shoe style or an accessory you want to wear and people don't get it, who cares? You should always wear what works for you! Wear what makes you happy and what makes you feel confident because that's ultimately what style is. I feel super confident rocking my Teva's with socks even with dress pants and because I love it that's all that matters!
